Veritas Updates: Renew the Guthrie & Editing 2nd Draft of Film

Updated: May 17, 2019

It has been a full week here at Veritas Arts. Back in December of last year, we became the new owner of the Guthrie Theatre in Grove City Pennsylvania. We are very excited about our very first movie theater. We have many great plans for this venue but first and foremost we are making all efforts to reopen this business to the public as a first run movie theater. We will be announcing in the coming weeks our official grand reopening date.

In an effort to fundraise the necessary resources to restore and renew this historic theatre we are holding a Comedy Show on April 6th at 7PM at our venue. We have some world class comedians performing that night and it will have catered food as well as a cash bar. This is one of the first of many live events we will be hosting at the Guthrie. Please do come out and support this cause.

We also are deep into the second draft of "Shooting Heroin" (2019). In the first draft our runtime was nearly two hours in length, but after cutting away some scenes and tightening the pacing the movie will run closer to a little over 90 minutes. We are excited to refine the story and flow of the picture until it is perfect and ready to go into finishing post and scoring.

We anticipate exciting announcements int he coming weeks, so stay tuned! Thank you for your support and taking the time to read our updates!
