Veritas Press: Grove City Expansion

We are happy to announce that Veritas Arts INC in partnership with SpenceTF, LLC will be taking over Sweet Jeanie's across the street from our Guthrie Theatre. We will be adding our first Cinema Grille and a 2nd Screen for Alternative and Art House Cinema.

Dave and Jeanie Mills, current owners of Sweet Jeanie’s, have agreed to work with Veritas Arts, INC to expand its operations in Grove City and Western Pennsylvania. The first priority in this new 20,000 square foot expansion is to add a second theatre screen that will be a part of the original Guthrie.

Where the ice cream shop existed, we are creating our very own branded Cinema Grille (www.EatCinema.com), where we will be offering high quality steaks and seafood as well as serving gourmet breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch! Our soft opening will be Friday January 17th with our grand opening on Leap Day Saturday February 29th. We look forward to using the additional space at Sweet Jeanie's for other commercial ventures, as well as classrooms and a black box theatre on the third floor. Many new plans are underway and we are excited for what this new decade holds!

David and Jeanie are thrilled to transfer this beautiful building and vision for its development to the capable hands of Veritas Arts. They said “We have loved building and operating Sweet Jeanie’s, and therein making our own contribution to the improvement of South Broad Street. We’ve enjoyed working with all our staff and customers, and appreciate all they’ve done to make a successful operation with great service. There is not a sufficient way to say ‘Thank you!’”

See you at the movies!
